Kristallnacht in Jihlava

The closely connected Schwartz and Feld families belong to Jihlava’s Jewish community, where Józef’s father serves as a synagogue rabbi. As persecution tears apart their lives, arrest and deportation carry their stories towards Auschwitz-Birkenau. This prelude to The Dream That Carried Us introduces the families of Józef Schwartz and Rivka Feld, preserving a glimpse of their lives and relationships before the events of Unseen.
